Version 4.06 will probably work. As I recall, after that version the software changed ownership or something, and the registration code
scheme changed, so the newer stuff probably can't be recognized by
LORDNET. I don't think there's that much difference between 4.06 and
the later minor releases.

it didnt change ownership.
some little kiss ass told metrogameport that the bbs community had a code generator. there's a generator for lord 4.7+ but i dont think anybody has it any longer.

anyways, 4.7+ has some fixes and changes. i'd rather use 4.8 than 4.6
